Aiyedatiwa receives Ijaw National Congress, says no project will be abandoned

The governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to complete all ongoing projects in the state.

Aiyedatiwa made this known at a meeting with the leadership of Akure chapter of the Ijaw National Congress in Akure on Thursday.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, said his government will leave no parts of the state behind in its developmental agenda.

According to him, “We are in government to solve issues and to ensure every resident of our state has a sense of belonging, regardless of his or her socio-economic status or political affiliation”

He assured that their requests will be looked into and given adequate considerations.

Earlier in his address, chairman of Akure chapter of Ijaw National Congress, Ominidougha Bonsuwe, thanked the governor for appointing indigenes of Ese-Odo into his cabinet.

Bonsuwe submitted a list of requests, which included road construction, establishment of department of waterways in the ministry of works, recognition and approval of chieftaincy stools in the local government, among others.

He pledged the support and loyalty of the Ijaw National Congress to the governor and government of Ondo state, saying “we shall continue to be partners in progress”
