Aiyedatiwa to Muslim community: Continue to foster peace, unity

The Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has urged Muslims in the state to remain unwavering in promoting peace and harmony.
Aiyedatiwa made this known at the 20th year of imamship and turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Shaykh Abdulrasheed Oladunjoye Akerele, the Grand Imam of Supare Akoko.
The chairman of Akoko South West Local Government, Ayo Ajana who represented the Governor at the event made this known in a posted on his facebook page.
Part of the statement reads: “On behalf of the Governor, I congratulate Imam Shaykh Abdulrasheed on this significant milestone and wish him continued strength and long life in service to Islam, Supare Akoko, and Ondo State at large.
“I also convey the goodwill message of Governor Aiyedatiwa, who expressed his deep gratitude to the Muslim community for their steadfast support of his administration, especially during the recent gubernatorial election which reaffirmed his mandate as Governor of Ondo State.
“Furthermore, the Governor urged members of the Muslim community to continue promoting peace, unity, and religious harmony throughout the state.
“In continuation of my engagements, I also attended the Big Catch-up Vaccination Review Meeting at Sabo Ibaka Ward, Oka Akoko, in Akoko South West Local Government area. While there, I acknowledged the important role health workers play in our communities and extended heartfelt appreciation for their dedication and selfless service in safeguarding public health.
“I encouraged them to remain resilient and committed to their responsibilities, despite the many challenges they encounter, as their efforts are vital to the well-being and development of our people.”
