The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has dismissed media reports suggesting a rift between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing such claims as baseless and mischievous.
In a statement by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Steve Otaloro, the APC said both leaders maintain a cordial and productive relationship built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to the progress of Ondo State and the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Otaloro emphasised that Governor Aiyedatiwa remains steadfast in his support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, while Minister Tunji-Ojo continues to make Ondo State proud through his outstanding performance at the federal level.
He urged party members and the public to disregard false reports aimed at causing division within the party, insisting that no reconciliation was necessary because no disagreement exists.
“The rumours being circulated are the handiwork of political detractors who want to create disunity within the APC ahead of 2027,” Otaloro stated.
The party reaffirmed that it remains united, focused on governance, and unwavering in its support for the Tinubu administration.
