The Ilaje Development Summit Group (IDSG) has called on the Governor-elect and current Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to focus on critical sectors to ensure rapid and sustainable development across the state.

Speaking with journalists after a thank-you rally on Monday in Akure, the President of IDSG, Rev. Adesola Adebawo, praised Aiyedatiwa’s resounding victory in the recent gubernatorial election and expressed confidence in his leadership.

He described Aiyedatiwa’s victory as more than a political achievement, noting that it symbolises renewed hope for progress, prosperity, and inclusiveness for all citizens.

Adebawo also commended the people of Ondo State for their overwhelming support, describing their choice as a reaffirmation of the values of justice, equity, and unity.

“This remarkable achievement was made possible by the resilience and collective effort of voters across all 18 local government areas, who turned out in large numbers to support the vision of progress and inclusivity,” he stated.

He extended gratitude to traditional rulers for their unwavering support during the electioneering period and acknowledged the strategic leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he said played a pivotal role in the victory.

The IDSG president also applauded President Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership, highlighting his commitment to justice and inclusivity.

He further emphasised that the victory is a fulfilment of the aspirations of the Ilaje people and a testament to the progress that can be achieved when leaders prioritise collective interests. Adebawo credited Ondo State elders for their guidance and contributions, which he said were instrumental to the success.

Calling on all indigenes of Ondo State to rally behind the governor, Adebawo urged unity in the quest for a prosperous and inclusive future.

He concluded with a call to action: “Let this victory be a symbol of hope and a powerful testament to the strength of our unity. Together, with a common vision, there are no limits to what we can achieve,” he added.
