Aiyedatiwa’s aide, Aina, hails Governor for women inclusion in governance

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo state on women mobilisation, Bayo Aina, has applauded the decision of the Governor in the appointment of women into political offices.

Aina gave the commendation at the weekend while speaking at a women in politics program organized by the Progressive Nation Women for Aiyedatiwa/Adelami, held at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat to in Akure.

She said, “the governor has proven time and again to be gender neutral. We are indeed happy with the way he has put women in key positions in his government”

The Special Assistant solicited for more positions for women to enable them participate at all levels of government, saying Ondo state women are resourceful and dedicated to good governance.

She further advised the women to embark on a house-to-house campaign for the ticket of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami 2024.

Speaking at the event, Ondo state deputy governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr Adekola Falohun, charged the women to get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ready to vote in the November 16, 2024 governorship election.

Adelami thanked the women’s support group for their steadfastness and for organizing the program that brought together women from diverse backgrounds.

In his remarks, the state chairman of APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin, said women in Ondo state have a high voting strength and urged them use it for the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of APC in this year’s election.

He also appreciated the group for deeming it fit to organize the program, which he described as one that will resonate with the people.

The event, which brought together women from the 18 local government areas of the state, featured free medical check-up, voter’s education and distribution of items.
