Aiyedatiwa’s aide hosts summit, urges youths to harness digital media

In a bid to help youths explore the transformative potential of digital media in shaping governance, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Digital Media, Comrade Olubunmi Ololajulo, organised a Digital Media Summit on Friday, 13th September 2024.

While delivering his welcome address, Comrade Olubunmi Ololajulo stated that digital media has emerged as a powerful tool that transcends geographical boundaries and amplifies voices.

He further explained that the goal of the summit was to identify practical approaches and actionable solutions that would help people take full advantage of these digital media tools to their greatest potential.

Also speaking at the summit, the Chairman of the Occasion and Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Adewale Akinlosotu, encouraged participants to exploit the power of digital media to create wealth and improve society.

The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, represented by his Media Manager, Mr Timilehin Ogunsulire, commended the Special Assistant on Digital Media to the Governor for organising such an educative and all-important summit and urged the youths to always comply with the rules of engagement on their various social media platforms.

The guest speaker of the event and Permanent Secretary of the Ondo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Francis Adegoke Akanbiemu, congratulated the participants for attending the summit and advised the youths to make the best use of digital media.

The panel sessions of the summit were moderated by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Entertainment and Tourism, Hon. Oluwaseyitan Aletile (SEYI LAW), who also admonished the youths on the rules of engagement on social media platforms and gave a lecture on how to monetise social media.

While delivering his vote of thanks, the host of the summit, Comrade Olubunmi Ololajulo, expressed his gratitude to Almighty God for making the summit a success. He also specially appreciated his principal, the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his all-round support in ensuring the summit was held.

Comrade Olubunmi Ololajulo further thanked the following individuals for their immense support towards the success of the summit: Hon. Adewale Akinlosotu, Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation; Mrs Olamide Falana, Special Adviser on Gender Matters to the Governor; Mr Abayomi Olasanya, Chief of Protocols to the Governor; Hon. Oluwaseyitan Aletile (Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment and Tourism to the Governor); Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor; Mr George Asonja, Director of Protocols; Hon. Kelvin Solomon Olaolu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Matters; Hon. Tomide Akinribido, Senior Special Assistant on ICT to the Governor; Prince Oriade Adebawo, Special Assistant on Emergency Response to the Governor; Mr Akinwale Olabode, a Business Executive; Mr Blessing Oripenaye, a Law Graduate and Public Speaker; and Mr Gregory Ekrakene, an Entrepreneur.

Comrade Olubunmi also thanked all the panellists and dignitaries for their contributions towards the success of the summit and urged the participants to make use of the knowledge acquired to create wealth for themselves and make the world a better place.

The colourful, educative, and memorable summit was held at SITA Hall, Alagbaka, Akure, and was attended by the Senior Special Assistant on Students’ Matters to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Kelvin Olaolu Solomon; Hon. Oriade Adebawo, Special Assistant on Emergency Response to the Governor of Ondo State; Hon. Fadeshola Ojamomi, Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs to the Governor of Ondo State (ably represented); the President of the Ondo South Welfare and Consultative Association (OSAWA), Mr Oluwajuwon Ade-Aworetan; media personality and activist, Comrade Ogunmola Joshua (Ob.Sugar); renowned architect, project management expert, and public speaker, Mr Gbenga Adene; social media influencer and activist, Mr Oluwagbenga Ajongbolo (Arakunrin Ajos); hundreds of Ondo State youths and students; and distinguished personalities from different walks of life.
