Aiyedatiwa’s birthday historic, says guber campaign organisation

As Ondo State Governor, Hon (Dr.) Lucky Aiyedatiwa marks his 60th birthday today, the governor’s notable campaign body ahead of last year’s governorship election, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC), has described the occasion as historic.
In a goodwill message issued in Akure by its State Director of Information, Mr. Kayode Fasua, the LACO-FSIC stated that Aiyedatiwa now counts prominently in the pantheon of political leaders in Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole, that have helped to improve on the profile of the country’s public office holders.
“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who through the grace of God marks his 60th birthday today, has since his assuming office, tickled the masses of Ondo State that there should be no wide gap between the leaders and the led, and that both divide must be abridged for the purpose of development, peace and public security.
“To that extent, the governor now counts prominently in the ranks of public office holders that have helped to improve on the profile of Nigeria’s politicians, with a striking message that public office is a place of trust, to truly serve the people,” it observed.
The campaign body particularly commended the people of Ondo State for embracing the Aiyedatiwa vision through the governor’s overwhelming victory in the November 16, 2024 election in what has now been known as 18-0 Pro Max.
The LACO-FSIC also noted with delight that the governor, who will be sworn in for a four-year tenure on February 24, this year, had spent the last one year in office rebuilding Ondo State and setting agenda for greater developmental exploits.
“Specifically, Mr. Governor has made public welfare his priority by paying workers’ salaries regularly, giving public workers incentives and releasing financial grants to revive dying businesses among entrepreneurs across the 18 local government areas of the state.
“Touching of all is the free bus shuttles for school children and public workers to defray transport costs occasioned by the removal of petroleum subsidy.
“Wondrously too, Governor Aiyedatiwa is now on song everywhere in the state as he has seized the opportunity of this dry season to embark on many road projects which he classified in publications for the people to track,” the campaign body enthused.
While prodding the governor to keep on in his strides, the LACO-FSIC through its Convener, the Baba Aladura, Dr. Dipo Okeyomi, aka Carry Go; Co-convener, Prince Biyi Poroye, and Director-General, who is also the state’s Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, wished the governor many more years, as he ages with grace.
