The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Sports, Hon. Kehinde Akinrotoye who is alao known as Bonsue, has pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to enhance sports across the 18 local government areas of the state.
Akinrotoye made this promise during a courtesy visit to the office of the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Segun Omoyofunmi, in Akure, the state capital.
He emphasised his readiness to collaborate with the commissioner and other stakeholders to restore the state’s former glory in the sports sector.
“Sports is a vital sector of government, and it requires everyone’s involvement for meaningful development,” Akinrotoye stated.
He further highlighted his recent visit to the Ondo State Sports Council, where he met with management and sectional heads to encourage renewed efforts in advancing sports across the state.
In response, Mr. Segun Omoyofunmi, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, commended Akinrotoye for the visit, stressing the importance of partnership.
“I welcome you to my office. Our priority is to align with Governor Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s development policy, as he is a passionate supporter of sports.
“My office is committed to working with you to move sports forward in line with the Governor’s ‘OUR EASE’ policy for rapid sports development.”Omoyofunmi said.
