Ajana reiterates commitment to workers’ welfare

The chairman of Akoko South West Local Government area, Mr. Ayo Ajana, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of the council’s workers.
He disclosed this during a solidarity visit to the newly elected leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in the council area.
In his address, Ajana congratulated Comrade Felix Ajobiewe who recently emerged as the chairman of the Akoko South West chapter of NULGE, alongside other executive members.
The council also praised the outcome of the election, describing it as a reflection of the confidence reposed in Comrade Ajobiewe and his team by their colleagues.
He urged the new executives to build on the trust placed in them by promoting the values of diligence, discipline, and integrity among members.
In a brief meeting with the union leadership, the chairman stressed the importance of fostering collaborative relationship between the local government administration and the union to drive sustainable development in the area.
“Our administration remains committed to supporting the welfare of staff and ensuring a harmonious working relationship with the union. Together, we can achieve greater progress for Akoko South West,” he said.
Ajana also encouraged the new NULGE leadership to work towards motivating workers to deliver efficient and accountable service to the people, assuring them that the council would continue to prioritize staff welfare and professional growth.
