Ajasin incorruptible, trail blazer – Olowo

The first Governor of old Ondo State, late Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin has been described as a disciplinarian, honest, rare breed and trail blazer.
The Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III made this description during the grand reception held for him and the Ondo State Head of Service, Mr Oluwadare Aragbaiye by the Old Students of Owo High School, Owo.
Oba Ogunoye said the legacies of the late sage which became a watchword for principals after him (Pa Ajasin), made the products of the school forces to be reckoned with in all spheres of human endeavours.
The monarch described the training he received from the late Pa J T Asaniyan, who was his principal when he was admitted was as a result of the solid foundation laid by the septuagenarian.
The Olowo thanked the old students for the honour done him and others and pledged his total commitment to the progress of the school saying, ‘whatever it takes to contribute his quota to the development of his Alma mater, he would surely do’.
Recipients of the honour were the Vice Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede and Ondo State Head of Service, Mr. Oluwadare Aragbaye who are also members of the alumni association.
The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde promised to look into various challenges facing the school.
A highlight of the occasion was the turning of sod for the construction of the perimeter fencing and modern toilets for the school.
