The founder of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, has described the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as an archetype of the new Ondo State.
He said Akeredolu has done well within the available resources to the state government to improve infrastructure and the economy of the state.
Chief Ade-Ojo disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Ilara-Mokin, Ifedore Local Government Area, shortly after attending the “Content Summit” organised by Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station held at Elizade University.
The summit was declared open by the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The founder of Elizade University explained that with the quantum of challenges on ground and the governor’s efforts to address them within the financial resources available to the government, Akeredolu deserves commendation.
“With the resources available to him, I will give him a pass mark. With the amount of problems on ground and his efforts to address those problems within the financial resources available to the government, I can say the governor is trying”, Ade-Ojo emphasised.
He equally asserted he (Ade-Ojo) is investing in the state because he believes in the state and was determined to help his people, stressing that he is irrevocably committed to making Ilara-Mokin more attractive in all areas of development.
Ade-Ojo added that he was doing everything possible to making Ilara-Mokin a tourist centre to improve the economy of the community, just as he urged Ondo State sons and daughters across the globe to come home and invest to further complement government’s efforts aimed at improving the economy of the state and create jobs for the people.
Earlier, while declaring open the Content Summit, Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu applauded the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for contributing to the development of the nation through adequate coverage of government activities to the people.
Akeredolu particularly tasked media organisations on objective and unbiased news reportage for societal development.
He assured FRCN, especially Positive FM Akure which is an arm of FRCN in the state of his administration’s readiness to continue to collaborate with the station to ensure full coverage of government activities in the state.
Akeredolu who emphasised the importance of self appraisal and rediscovery for every organisation to remain in business also said with the growing competition occasioned by many radio stations, survival may not be for the fittest, hence the FRCN as a flagship of broadcasting in the country, should be a model and set the pace for others.
“We are happy to be associated with this historic move in the life of your Organisation. That explains why we have given our support morally and financially.
“I hope you would sustain it to always bring your personnel up-to date in all developments in the industry”, the governor said.
