Akeredolu charges Oyeneyin on accessible healthcare

The newly appointed General Manager for the Ondo State Contributory Health Commission, (ODSCHC) Dr. Abiodun Oyeneyin, has been presented to the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Presenting the General Manager, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Matters, Dr Jibayo Adeyeye, said the appointment was made after a rigorous process faced by all who applied for the job within and outside the public service.
He expressed the belief that with the appointment which took effect from June 1, 2019, the Ondo State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme was ready to kick off.
Responding, Oyeneyin appreciated the Governor for availing him the opportunity to serve his state which had been his most cherished dream.
While thanking the governor for the support base facilities provided for the commission to take off including legislation and particularly the befitting edifice to serve as its headquarters, the General Manager pledged to make the State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme a veritable platform for healthcare financing that will be a reference point in Nigeria.
In his remark Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu noted that he was excited that the new General Manager knew exactly what he was coming to do.
He urged him to settle down for business in line with the state government’s policy thrust of making healthcare delivery accessible to residents of the state.
