Akeredolu, Christian faithful usher-in August with prayers

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Sunday joined other Christian faithful to worship God at the Chapel of Grace, Government House Grounds, Alagbaka, Akure.
The service which also marked the first day and first Sunday in the month of August recorded a large turnout of Christian faithful.
The day also marked the first Sunday after the Supreme Court affirmed the victory of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, as the winner of October 10, 2020 governorship election in Ondo State.
The service, provided opportunity for the congregation to praise God for His unending favour upon Ondo State and the first family who joined in praises and adoration to the Almighty.
Akeredolu was joined by his wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu; the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; the Secretary to the State Governor, Princess Oladunni Odu, members of Aketi Women Group among others.
In his sermon, Revd Obadiah Azubike of the Diocese of Akure, Anglican Communion, noted with utmost conviction that the Almighty being the All-knowing, must have seen in Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, undiluted sincerity in service to the people of Ondo State for him to have had his victory affirmed by the Supreme Court.
The Cleric who categorically stated that God doesn’t disappoint faithful servants enjoined the governor to remain unwavering in his service to God and humanity for prosperity to abound in Ondo State.
He charged leaders at all levels to inculcate the virtues of being prudent managers of men and resources, and demonstrate adherence to the tenets of servitude to be successful leaders.
