The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu yesterday led other government officials to commiserate with the former deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Ali Olanusi over the death of his wife, Alhaja Bejide Olanusi.

Bejide died yesterday at the age of 77 years.

Akeredolu who was moved by the incident expressed the condolence of the State Executive Council and government to the former deputy governor over the departure of his wife, describing the sudden death as painful and unexpected.

He said it was not an easy thing to lose someone so dear, particularly his wife.

He, however, encouraged Olanusi to take solace in God for He gives and takes, adding that Alhaja Bejide left peacefully.

He said late Bejide lived a worthy and fulfilled life, noting that nobody could question God over what has happened because only God knows why.

He also prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and also give Chief Olanusi and the children she left behind long life in sound health.

Ali Olanusi appreciated the Governor and his team for their visit despite the fact it is an impromptu.

The former deputy governor who could not hold back his tears, said the sudden death of his wife was a serious pain and uneasy to bear.

Late Bejide will be buried today Wednesday according to Islamic rites.
