Akeredolu empowers accident victim

A middle aged woman, Mrs Toyin Atobatele, a former trainer in Ondo State Skills Acquisition Center, Akure has been awarded a cash of  N250,000 by the State Government to start a trade.

This development was borne out of the kind gesture of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s for the less privileged and victims of circumstance while serving the State.

In a statement by the Head, Media and Public Relations Unit of the Institution, Babarere Akinyomi, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu while presenting the cash through the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Femi Agagu reiterated the commitment of his administration to uplift the people through sustainable empowerment and Skills Acquisition for better life and living.

The Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Board for Adults, Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Mrs Aarinola Akinsete who represented the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, while handing over the cash to Mrs Toyin Atobatele, enjoined her to judiciously use the money on trading.

Dr Akinsete also lauded the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for empowering Mrs Atobatele.

Appreciating the State Governor, Mrs Toyin Atobatele who was assisted to the arena by her daughter, Deborah Atobatele, was  in tears as she joyfully prayed for Governor Akeredolu and his government promising  that her entire family would not be deterred in supporting Akeredolu’s second term in office for extending the assistance to her.

Mrs Toyin Atobatele was reported to have had an accident while working on caustic soda for soap making at the tying and dyeing and soap making Unit of the Government Skills Acquisition Center, Kudirat Shopping Complex, Akure on the 16th on November 2005 (about fifteen years ago). She was said to have been hospitalized and taken care of during the Olusegun Agagu’s led Administration then.

During the change of government, she was left without means of livelihood as she had no capacity to do heavy work as a result of the injuries which was said to have affected her strength.
