The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Political Matters and Mobilization, Mr. Ifabiyi Samuel has affirmed that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, still remains a bonafide member of the All Progressives Congress party in Nigeria against the information that he has been suspended by the national leadership of the party.

He noted that the national leadership of the party is aware of the enormous developmental projects that the governor has embarked on across the state, which, according to him are capable of promoting  the image of the party in the state.

According to him, governor Akeredolu is in the good book of the national leadership and has not been found wanting in any national activities.

Ifabiyi noted that the rumour mongers who derive pleasure in fomenting trouble within the party are the ones behind the false information.

His words: ” Our governor is very much in All Progressives Congress Party. He continues to do his job without fear of anything. And I can assure you that the national leaders know the governor that is performing and they know that this is the kind of governor they can use to promote the image of the party.

“Most of the problems within the party are caused by the rumour mongers, people who decided to foment trouble where there’s no problem.

“But as far as we are concerned in Ondo state, the party is very much intact and we are doing more to unite the few aggrieved members. In a political settings you can not take away this minor crisis, but the onus lies on the leadership of the party to continue to talk to the aggrieved members so that they will allow peace to reign within the party and I can assure you we are forging ahead by doing so.

Reacting to the campaign vehicles that were said he allegedly retrieved from some party members recently on the order of the governor, the Special Adviser noted that the vehicles were not given as gifts, as assumed by some people.

He said: “the vehicles given to party members during the election are not gifts but for a purpose, which is the elections of President Muhammad Buhari and for NASS and House of Assembly elections.

“They have to bring them back and put them in shape for the preparation of the next election, as you know that the governorship election is less than two years now.

“By this time next year, activities of politicking might have been heating up again and we need all these vehicles to mobilise our members, this is the reason they were asked to submit the vehicles to refurbish them for future assignment”.
