Akeredolu kept his words on UNIMED-Osemawe

Osemawe of Ondo kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo has described the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as a man of integrity .
Oba Kiladejo made the remarks while receiving the All Progressives Gubernatorial campaign team in his palace.
In his words: “Akeredolu is a man who keeps his promise that he will not scrap the University of Medical Sciences”.
The monarch who thanked the governor for the expansion of the Teaching Hospital and adding 500 bed facility to it, described Akeredolu as a man of character and integrity
“After the Governor came on board, we were scared that he might abandon UNIMED. We held a meeting with him and he promised that he would continue to develop and maintain the institution. Mr. Governor kept his words.
He said:”You are here for a purpose. I know you are a Christian. May the Lord answer your prayer. This position you are eyeing, may the Lord give it to you.”
Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu assured the people of Ondo kingdom that the University of Medical Sciences located in the town will soon be turned into a first class Medical Science University in Nigeria.
Governor Akeredolu expressed his determination to work harder for the growth and development of the state, stressing that only continuity can guarantee the implementation of his plans for the University.
The Governor said his administration has sustained and developed the UNIMED to the admiration of the Osemawe and the people of Ondo Kingdom, assuring that his administration will do more.
He said:” We know how many courses we met at the UNIMED and we know how many courses that have been accredited through our efforts.
“When we came, we were very passionate about the teaching hospital. Today, we have the teaching hospitals in both Ondo and Akure. The UNIMED has been expanded. Its college of Nursing is in Akure and also, its college of Health Technology.
“Today, we have School for public health in Ondo East. The structure has been put in place and work has equally commenced.”
The deputy Governorship candidate, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, state Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Special Adviser to the Minister of Interior, Hon. Bola Ilori, Hon. Victor Olabimtan, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, Dr. Adeyeye Jibayo, Mr. Kunle Adebayo, Chief Olayide Adelami and other notable leaders in the local government attended the rally.
