Akeredolu launches Arije’s autobiography Dec 13

Former Secretary General of Organisation of African Union Trade Unity, OATUU, and ex President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Hassan Adebayo Sunmonu, will on December 13 in Akure the Ondo State capital, preside over the launching of the autobiography of veteran labour leader and former chairman of the state chapter of NLC, Comrade Oyekan Arije.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, is the Chief Host of the event which has a former governorship candidate, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, as Chief launcher and Chairman/CEO of Click Connect Networks, Chief Alex Ajipe as Co Launcher.

Royal Fathers of the day are the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Malokun of Atijere, Oba Samuel Adeoye Edema and Olu of Igbokoda, Oba Afolabi Odidiomo.

A statement by the Chairman and Secretary of the Book Launch Planning Committee, Comrade Alaba Isijola and Mr. Omomofe Akintunde, said that the planned public presentation and launching of the book, titled “Footprints of a Selfless Servant: An Autobiography of Comrade Oyekan Arije,” would also mark the 80th birthday of the former labour leader.

The statement said: “The book is a compilation of the life journey of Comrade Oyekan Arije, a foremost labour leader and statesman in Ondo State. It also recounts his community life, journey into politics, his Christian life and public service.

“The book presentation which will hold on Thursday, 13th December, will be reviewed by Barrister Femi Aborisade. The occasion will be chaired by Comrade Hassan Sunmonu, while His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu shall be the Chief Host.”
