Akeredolu sends 4 Commissioner-nominees to ODHA

In fulfilment of his promise to hit the ground running to fast track the spate of development in Ondo state, the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has forwarded names of four commissioner-nominees to the State Assembly for confirmation.
The commissioner- nominees are; Mr Wale Akinterinwa, former Commissioner for Finance; Mr Ojogo Kimikanboh Donald, former Commissioner for Information and Orientation; Sir Charles Titiloye, former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Aminu Raimi Olayiwola, former Special Adviser to the Governor on Land, Works and Infrastructure.
In a letter addressed to the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr. Oleyelogun Bamidele David and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, the Governor requested members of the Assembly to give their approval to the list in view of the urgent need to fast-track the instrumentality of governance.
“In the light of this, all necessary processes that will give accelerated approval to the letter has been earmarked.”
Meanwhile, the Speaker pledged on behalf of the house that quick approval would be given soonest.
In a related development, The State House of Assembly has given Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu an accelerated approval to appoint thirteen Special Advisers for his second term in office.
This followed a letter of request addressed to the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun written by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale.
Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker, Oleyelogun at a parliamentary meeting unanimously approved the letter.
In a statement by the Chairman House Committee on Information, Youth and Sport Development, Akogun Olugbenga Omole which was made available to The Hope, this was as a result of the observation that the request was in line with the constitutional rights of the Governor.
The Speaker added that it would accelerate the machinery of government with a view to fastrack prompt delivery of Democratic dividends to the people.
Governor Akeredolu was sworn in for a second term in office on Wednesday the 24th of February 2021.
