Akeredolu swears-in Ale as CoS

The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, yesterday sworn-in Chief Olugbenga Ale as his Chief of Staff (CoS), with a vow that the second leg of his administration would bring on board those who would not constitute burdens on the government.
Ale was also the Chief of Staff to the Governor during his first term. He was accompanied to the venue of the swearing in ceremony by members of his immediate and extended family, among several others.
Administering the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance on the new Chief of Staff, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu hinged his reappointment on perseverance, consistency, decency and loyalty.
Akeredolu who described Chief Ale as a dedicated and trustworthy man, further encouraged him to reciprocate his reappointment by casting aside all tendencies that could lead to distraction.
Akeredolu while congratulating the CoS on his reappointment, also revealed that the second leg of his administration would bring on board those who would not constitute burdens on the government.
According to the Governor, only people who are ready for genuine sacrifices and dedication would be engaged to serve, just as he promised to do away with distractions to enable his administration achieve more successes than those recorded in the first term.
He noted that anyone elected or appointed among so many should consider him or herself lucky.
“We have already achieved some level of success in this regard in our first term. We shall endeavour to build on this success in the next four years.
“There will be zero tolerance for indolence. Nobody will be permitted to misbehave under our watch. We intend to continue to promote the virtues of diligence and honesty.
“We will reward decency. Any established act of moral turpitude will be visited with the utmost severity in terms of sanction”, the Governor stressed.
In his response, the Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale, who appreciated the governor for considering him worthy for a second time, also promised to serve than ever before for the development of the state.
Chief Ale described Governor Akeredolu as a wonderful leader to work with, saying Akeredolu would never discountenance any wise counsel from his lieutenants.
“He is a very courageous and bold man who does not fear to take decisions neither does he take any decision out of fear. This unique personality is an invaluable Godsent to humanity. His exquisite manner of tutorage and magnificent bluntness has enthralled me to identify myself with him”, Chief Ale said.
The swearing in ceremony held at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office, Akure, was also attended by acting chairman of the APC, Engr. Ade Adetimehin; the Head of Service, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye; the former deputy Governor, Ali Olanusi; the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun and other members; President, Ondo State Customary Court of Appeal, Eunice Alade; former members of the cabinet during the first term led by the former Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi, serving and retired Permanent Secretaries, among several others.
