Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will on Saturday, May 20, deliver the 59th Founders’ Day Anniversary Lecture of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo.
Other activities lined up for the anniversary, which begins May 19, include Jumat Service, a football Novelty match, presentation of awards and education support grants.
Other anniversary highlights include thanksgiving service, commissioning of a multimillion naira Alumni Event Centre, and a public lecture to be delivered by an Alumnus of the institution, Prof. Bimbo Adesoji of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo, was established in 1963 but officially opened on May 22, 1964, by the defunct Government of Western Region of Nigeria with 93 students comprising 69 males and 24 females.
The institution was named after an indigene of the Ondo Community, Reverend Canon Moses Craig Akinpelumi Adeyemi, a renowned educationist and notable personality in the area.
