The Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs. Kehinde Omolara Adeniran, has offset school fees of 20 indigent students selected from  five public secondary schools in Irekari axis of Ose Local Government area of the state.

In addition to the payment of the school fees, she presented educational materials to  the beneficiaries.

Addressing the students, Mrs  Adeniran gave kudos to  Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu  and his wife, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, for the opportunity to serve.

She noted that her decision to carry out the gesture was  out of her long-time passion to touch lives and leave a good legacy.

The SSA Women Affairs assured that this would not be the last, but would still organise for the next session.

She charged the students to be serious with their education and charged parents to monitor them against social vices and immorality. She adopted a girl to further her education in Akure, thereby increasing the number of girl children under her care to six.

While welcoming the facilitator, the Principal of  Irekari Comprehensive College Idoani, the host of the programme, Mr. Ayodele Omololu, appreciated her for the programme,  affirming that for his several years in the teaching profession, he’s witnessing such gesture for the first time.

He commended her philanthropic gesture and kind-heartedness, and also solicited continuity of the gesture for the benefit of other vulnerable children.

Ayodele stressed the need for educational support for the downtrodden, noting that it is an investment and asset, which would yield greater results in the future.

He encouraged the students to utilize the opportunity, and be diligent in their studies to encourage the donor who deemed it fit to promote education of indigent students.

He pleaded with the parents to reciprocate the gesture by providing other needed educational materials for their children and wards and encourage them to study hard.

A parent, Mr. Dennis Oluwadahunsi, while responding to the gesture, expressed delight and happiness  and prayed for  strength to do more.
