Akeredolu’s victory excites JONAPWD

Members of the Joint National Association of persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Ondo State chapter said the landslide victory of Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in the last Saturday gubernatorial election is a great achievement for all persons with Disabilities in the state .
In the congratulatory message signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the association, Ewa Emmanuel and Abiodun Olusegun, they enjoined the governor to continue his good work for the betterment of the entire special persons in the state.
Some of the record breaking achievements of the governor for the associarion include: Scholarship for PWDs’ student in tertiary institutions, appointment and employment for members among others
They however appealed that more of them be considered for Phase two Employment for graduate of special persons, Employment in form of ( Grants) to artisans who are special persons and appointment to serve in the cabinet as usual
The association used the avenues to commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for the provision of Braile ballot for the visually Impaired persons, magnifying eye glasses. Form E c 30 purd priority voting for all category of special persons among others.
They however implore INEC to mandate their Ad- hoc staff to ensure form Ec 40H are filled for all eligible voter of purds. This is the major area we need more improvement as must of our people that voted did not capture in the form Ec 40H.
