Akinkuotu hails retired Perm Secs

The immediate past Ondo State Head of Service, Mr Toyin Akinkuotu has said the two retired Permanent Secretaries of Ondo State Local Government Service Commission and Staff Loans Board, Mr. Ade Akinbosade and Mrs Odunayo Ketiku served the state diligently and meritoriously.
He described the retired officers as worthy public officers whose services are worthy of emulation .
Akinkuotu declared this during the ‘Pens Down’ Ceremony organised for the retired officers by the Local Government Service Commission in recognition of their contributions to the development of the commission
He enjoined them to be grateful to God who gave them the grace to put in over 30 years of service noting that some did not have such opportunity and urged other officers to emulate them.
Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Mr Femi Idris said he will miss the services of the two retired Permanent Secretaries greatly
. “Working with them for years made me realised that having good officers is a plus for any administration. I gained from their wealth of knowledge. I want to also appreciate their families members for the support because to be successful in life, one’s family plays a great role.”
Idris who congratulated them over their peaceful retirement added that they will still be called upon anytime they are needed for assistance.
In his remarks, Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters, Comrade Alaba Isijola who said that he could not express his feelings so as not to get emotional revealed that Mr Akinbosade and Mrs Ketiku were part of those who fought in the 90s for Local Government recognition in the state which according to him made the day a reality
Speaking on behalf of staff of the Commission, Mr Bayo Ilawole described the retired Permanent Secretaries as embodiments of full administration who managed human and resources perfectly.
In their responses, the celebrants thanked the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the opportunity to serve and advised public officers to always be committed in the discharge of their duties to move the state forward.
