Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, has bagged the Golden Leadership Excellence award as the Most Outstanding Democrat & Most Distinguished Personality of the Year 2022 /2023.
The award, courtesy of Yoruba Study Group led by the Chairman Board of Trustees and a renowned Actor, Dr. Chief Peter Fatomilola, was presented to him in his Office in Akure.
While presenting the award to him the President of the Group, Mr Adeosun Williams, said it was in recognition of his excellent performance in his professiona lfield political achievements and service to humanity
Adeosun described Akinterinwa as a man of great intellectual capacity, highly matured, experienced, efficient and patriotic, who has demonstrated outstanding qualities that greatly impacted on many people and society at large.
He said the group was happy to honour the Commissioner because of his professional acumen and service to humanity, laced with outstanding accomplishments for over three decades with untainted and unblemished records.
While receiving the award, the Commissioner, appreciated the state Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for identifying and bringing him on board to lend his hand of expertise to the development of the state.
The Commissioner also thanked the group for the award and the confidence reposed in him, assuring the group, that the award would further spur him to do more for the people of the State in particular and Nigeria in general.
Yoruba Study Group is a coalition of young professionals and politically conscious youths and some notable elders of Yoruba origin.
The group was founded in 2009 to create a formidable platform for coordination of awareness, advocacy and historical research for improved leadership, open governance and innovative development of Yoruba land as well as to protect and project Yoruba Cultural heritage.
