Akogbe of Ajue gets staff of office

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has presented Staff of Office to a traditional ruler, Oba Bamidele Akinwe (the Akogbe of Ajue Kingdom) in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state.

The stool became vacant on August 21, 2015, following the demise of Oba Patrick Osunwekomi.

Presenting the new monarch with the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment at the St. John Primary School playing field, Ajue, Akeredolu congratulated  the new king  on his ascension to the throne of his ancestors.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Agboola Ajayi,  asked the people of Ajue at home and in the diaspora to give their maximum support to the new monarch, in order for him to achieve success during his reign.

The Governor also urged traditional rulers in the state to continue to support and cooperate with his administration in order to achieve more developmental projects across the state.

He assured the people of the state of his total commitment to security of lives and properties as well as provision of infrastructural development.

In his address, Chairman, Odigbo Local Government, Mr. Babatunde Ikumawoyi commended the chiefs and the entire people of Ajue for the peaceful disposition in ensuring that law and order was perfectly maintained during the process.

In his acceptance speech, the new monarch appreciated Akeredolu for ensuring fairness all through his installation process and promised to support the government to achieve success.
