Akoko man docked for threatening to kill, calling neighbor bastard

A 44-year old man, Adesunloye Abdul has been arraigned before an Iwaro Oka magistrate court for allegedly threatening to kill his neighbor, Adesunloye Richard, with matchet.

The prosecution, led by Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel, informed the court that the defendant also labeled Richard a bastard.

The defendant was accused conducted himself self in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace in the magisterial district.

The prosecutor added that the offense is punishable, citing section 86(1) of Criminal Code Cap 37 vol.1 laws Ondo State ofNigeria 2006.

However,  cousel of the defendant, Olumide Pintaye pleaded the court to grant Adesunloye bail in most liberal terms. Presiding over the case, Magistrate B. I. Ikusika granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦200, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned proceedings till April 9, 2025.
