Akoko man pleads not guilty after allegedly stealing Redmi phone

A 33-yr-old man, Ikare Shina has been arraigned before an Iwaro Oka Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing an Android phone valued at ₦170,000.00.
The prosecution led by Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel, told the Court that the defendant connived to steal one Redmi 14C Android phone owned by one Charles Bolorunduro.
The prosecutor further said the offence is punishable under Section 516A of the Criminal Code Cap. 37 Vol. I Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.
The defendant who had no legal counsel pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Presiding over the case, Magistrate B.I Ikusika ordered the remand of the defendant and adjourned proceedings till April 16, 2025.
