Akoko N/East chairman promotes youth empowerment, visits Tech hub

In a significant move to support youths development in Akoko land, the chairman of Akoko North East Local Government area, Mohammed Olawale, led a delegation of young leaders from four local governments on a visit to the Hive Hub.
The Hive Hub is a leading innovation and technology center focused on equipping young people with essential skills.
The delegation explored various sections of the Hub, including the Founders’ Breakfast Session, which provides platform for emerging entrepreneurs to engage with experienced business leaders; the Virtual Reality Lab, where participants experienced immersive technology; the Podcast Studio, which fosters digital storytelling and thought leadership; and the Business Incubator, a structured programme designed to nurture startups through mentorship and networking opportunities.
Speaking on the sidelines, Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to youth empowerment, emphasizing the need for capacity-building initiatives.
“Our youth are the driving force of tomorrow, and investing in them is investing in the future of our local government.
“We will continue to support platforms like The Hive Hub that equip our young people with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s competitive world,” he stated.
However, the delegation, which included young leaders across the local governments, commended the Chairman for his proactive approach to youth development and pledged their support in ensuring the success of the initiatives discussed.
