Akoko stakeholders list measures to mitigate hardship

Following the sallah celebration that ended on Monday, stakeholders have implored Muslim faithful to incessantly priotize the act of kindness as one of the measures to mitigate hardship in the country.

Speaking on the aftermath of the sallah celebration, a Muslim leader, Alhaji Bakai Momodu, emphasized that immense spiritual rewards await those who give generously during and after the festive period

He encouraged Muslims to continue in the spirit of charity and compassion, adding that by extending kindness to others, the gestire will mitigate hardship in the country.

“Muslims need to give even after sallah, because government can’t do everything so we must help the needy so as to curb hardhip too.

Also lending his voice, former Publicity Secretary of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (Akoko Zone), Alhaji Sarumi Adebola, urged affluent Muslims not to limit their acts of kindness to festive periods alone.

He noted that acts of charity should be continuous, as enjoined by Allah, adding that it would help reduce crimes and criminalities.

In a related development, the Ikaram Akoko Muslim community has appointed a new Chief Imam, Sheikh Basiru Aminu, following the recent death of Sheikh Lateef Muraina.

Sheikh Aminu is a graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.
