Akure-Ikere dual carriage way underway

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has revealed that the Federal Government has completed designs for the dual carriage-way of Akure to Ikere road project.
The Governor made this known during his thank-you-tour to Iju, in Akure North local government yesterday.
He explained that the road contract would be awarded as soon as the 2019 budget was approved.
The governor added that the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola had given his assurance that the contract would be awarded before the end of the first term.
According to the governor, on our own as a state, we have completed the Asphalt overlay of Ogbese market.
“We have also repaired so many of our boreholes, most important is the one at Ayede/Ogbese.
Also, Okiti of Iju, Oba Amos Farukanmi commended the Governor for his numerous life-changing projects in the area, especially the water project reticulated to other communities in the local government.
The Monarch also appreciated the Governor for his efforts at ensuring that the deplorable Akure-Ikere road is constructed.
At the event were Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi, Secretary to Ondo State Government, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde, State Chairman of APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin, member representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, member-elect representing Akure North Constituency, Hon Abiodun Faleye among others.
