Following the death of the Acting Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Mr Anthony Adebusola, Mr. Korede Folorunso has emerged as the new chairman of the local government.
Folorunso who until now was the leader of the local government’s legislative council, emerged after a meeting of the council on Tuesday.
It would be recalled that the former Chairman, Mr. Bankole Ogbesetore, died last week Tuesday after battling with an undisclosed ailment for over a year. His deputy, Adebusola, stepped in as acting Chairman but died within four days.
Speaking with The Hope, the new chairman described the death of the former council heads as a rude shock but said that nobody can question God.
He prayed for wisdom to lead the council aright at this crucial time.
