Ondo State born undefeated lightweight boxing sensational, Omotola Alaba Elibow has vowed to defeat Nigeria number three ranked boxer Suleiman Afeez in his next bout.
Elibow disclosed he has been training hard for the bout coming up on July 2 this year at Alake Sports Complex, Abeokuta,Ogun State.
He stated this at a walkout benefit event to raise fund for Graceland Orphanage home, Akure.
Omotola Alaba Elibow ranked seven in Nigeria, became professional boxer in 2019 , won three bout undefeated will face Sulaiman Afeez who ranked number three in the country next month.
Elibow needed to defeat Sulaiman to move to number number three.
According to Elibow, “I have been training both morning and afternoon because of the fight, if I didn’t knock my opponent out early in the fight, he will receive punches from me like never before, I’m very much optimistic of winning the bout.”
He appealed to boxing loving fans in Ondo State to turn out enmass to support him in the bout.
He told Sporting Hope that the secret behind him being undefeated was training, saying he trains both morning and in the evening. “no pain no gain”,he said.
He said: Though i was very lazy as young boy, I don’t know how to fight, my only weapon then was to bite people, there was time a lady beat me in school that was when I made up my mind to learn how to fight. I never knew I will become professional fighter, but I thank God today.
