Alayere gets Staff of Office

History was made in Ayere Community, Akure North Local Government as Ondo State Government presented Instrument of appointment and Staff of Office to the first Alayere of Ayere, Oba Aladetoyinbo Adeniran, Ori Ade1.

The coronation ceremony was held at Alayere Playground with many dignitaries including Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas and Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Ogunlade, Ondo State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Sir Charles Titiloye and others in attendance

Presenting the instrument of appointment to  Oba Aladetoyinbo, Ondo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Akogun Akinwumi Sowore charged him to see his appointment as a divine call to serve the community.

While congratulating the monarch for scaling through due process recognized by the law, Sowore said the government will continue to engage traditional rulers through robust engagement towards meetings the needs of the people.

He also  congratulated  members of the community just as he used the occasion to charge traditional rulers to continue to assist the government since they are the closest to the people in their various domain.

He congratulated the people of Ayere for realising their age-long aspirations of having an Oba to superintend their affairs.

He also said, “Government will not allow or tolerate a domineering tendency by any Oba in the state. Traditional rulers should avoid installing lesser chiefs in areas outside their domains or in disputed areas.”

Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area, Mr. Bankole Ogbesetore represented by his Deputy, Mr. Anthony Adebusola described the event as a positive development for Ayere community.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Aladetoyinbo Adeniran thanked Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for what he described as a gift to him and the community and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him

 Oba Aladetoyinbo called on his subjects, corporate bodies and government to invest in the area as he promised to donate hectres of land for any developmental projects in the community

The monarch however pleaded for the construction of Amotekun post , magistrate court and others.

General Overseer of Christ Giant Foundation Church of All Nation, Ijoka, Prophet Olaiya Gbenga who congratulated Oba Adeniran  described the monarch as a good person, loved by all.

“He loves everybody under him. He has been contributing to community development and is loved by all,” prophet Olaiya added.
