Ale bags Unilorin Alumni award

The University of Ilorin Alumni Association yesterday conferred an Award of Excellence on the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ondo State, Chief Olugbenga Ale, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the development of youths, education and humanity.
The association congratulated Ale on the well deserved award and his re-appointment as CoS, described him as the foremost benefactor of the Alumni association in the state.
The National President of the Alumni, Dr. Stephen Fasakin and National Social Secretary, Mr. Nesta Taiwo, who spoke in separate remarks at the award presentation held at the Governor’s Office, Akure, equally described Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as the protagonist of unprecedented industrial revolution in the state and Nigeria at large.
According to the association, Governor Akeredolu has always been standing tall to protect and defend the interest of the people especially on issues of national interest.
Governor Akeredolu who was represented by his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the event described Chief Ale as an astute civil servant to the core.
Aiyedatiwa said the re-appointment of Chief Olugbenga Ale by Governor Akeredolu was a testament of his various performance during the first term which has led to various success recorded by the present administration.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the National Social Secretary of the Alumni Association, Mr. Nesta Taiwo said Chief Ale credibly enjoys the position of the first among equals in the rank of the illustrious sons of the alumni association worldwide
In his response after receiving the award, Chief Olugbenga Ale, appreciated the University of Ilorin Alumni Association for the honour done on him, saying he cherished the award among awards he has received so far, promising to continue working for the development of the state and the alumni association.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Segun Odusanya and his counterpart in Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Lola Amuda emphasized that his tenacity to the progress of the state and his generation has brought the great feat Chief Ale has recorded so far.
Chief Olugbenga Ale was the pioneer General Secretary and later the second chairman of Ondo state chapter under whom progress was made tremendously.
