Alimi’s emotional farewell message to Sunshine Stars

Dear Sunshine Stars ,the decision to say goodbye was pertinent and tough at the same time .

The club has been such a massive part of my life for obvious reasons.

I need no Psychologist to tell me i am gonna miss that terrain ,the Akure city ,the pitch ,the dressing room and all fun and hardwork associated with it.

Two beautiful seasons through up’s and down rough and tough ,thick and thin, good and bad ,but I have been blown away by the words of encouragement and the whole Sunshine Stars family .

Immediately I decided to move on ,I will like to thank everyone ,it’s been very humbling I will cherish the moments for the rest of my life.

It has been an honour and privilege donning the jersey even though it didn’t exceed two seasons .

First season ,I was the top scorer for the club and replicated the form in my second season , how on earth will I forget the VAT wonder goal moment among other beautiful outings, the injuries were worth it too as it is a part of the game .

While I have decided to move forward, I wish the club all the best, the management, staff, fans ,all coaches I worked with and my teammates ,I say thank you .

I am in tears as I write ,just because the club occupies special place in my heart and mind.

I thank the team for the opportunity once again, the fighter fight on in search of Greeners pasture.
