Amotekun arrests ex- convict for defiling minor In Osun

Men of the Osun Amotekun Corps have apprehended a 30-year-old ex-convict, Dada Isiaka, for allegedly raping a 9-year-old girl at Aogun area in Boripe Local Government area of the state.
The suspect, a resident of Ada area in the state was arrested shortly after he allegedly lured the victim to an uncompleted building in the area where he raped her.
The victim, it was learnt, raised an alarm during the intercourse which drew the attention of the residents of the area who quickly called the Amotekun Boripe Command to the incident.
On receiving the information, the Amotekun operatives swung into action and arrested the rapist on the spot.
Addressing newsmen in Osogbo on the incident, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, confirmed the arrest.
He asserted that the suspect was arrested after raping a 9-year-old girl in Ada area, after he lured the victim to an uncompleted building where he had carnal knowledge of her.
The Amotekun boss explained that during the process, the girl raised an alarm, which drew the attention of the residents of the area.
Residents were said to have rushed to the scene of the incident, where they met the girl with blood coming out from her private part.
They immediately called the Amotekun operatives, who swung into action and apprehended the suspect at the scene of crime.
Upon interrogation, Adewinmbi added that the suspect confessed that he committed the offence.
According to him, the suspect was an ex-convict who was arrested in the past for stealing and was jailed for three months.
The commander said the suspect had been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
Adewinmbi appealed to residents of the state to report any suspicious movement in their areas to security agents for prompt action.
