Amotekun nabs armed robbers in Osun

Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested two men; Afeez Olaniyan, 27 and Ismail Wahab, 23, with a locally made pistol gun in Osogbo.
The duo were arrested on Wednesday, following a tip-off by residents of the area over terror attacks they unleashed on the inhabitants of Ita -olokan Osogbo and its environs.
Confirming the arrest, the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi asserted that the suspected hoodlums were arrested by the operatives for terrorizing the residents of Ita-Olokan area Osogbo and its environs.
According to him,” The suspected hoodlums were arrested on Wednesday after a distress call from the residents of the area on the activities of the suspects.
“Our operatives swung into action immediately after the complaint was made and the culprits were arrested with a locally made pistol gun .
“Upon Investigation, they confessed to committing the act, but claimed they were using the firearm to protect themselves.”
The suspect had since been handed over to the police for subsequent investigation and interrogation.
