ANLG distributes lawn mowers to primary schools

In its bid to complement the effort of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in ensuring that schools in the state are conducive for learning, Akure North Local Government has begun the distribution of lawn mowers to primary schools in the area.
Speaking with newsmen, the Education Secretary of the local government, Mr Temitayo Olowere said the distribution started last term with ten schools.
He said the effort was to bring qualitative education to the pupils and to complement the good work of the state government
“Our Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has been working to make sure that we have good classrooms in our schools.
“As you can see that renovation works are going on everywhere in schools across the state and we want to use this to complement his good works.
“We started the distribution last term and so far we have given to 10 primary schools in our local government and by the grace of God, we intend to give to all the 59 primary schools in this area”.
Olowere who noted that the 59 primary schools in the local government will have at least one stressed that St John’s Primary School, Oba Ile, St Matthew Primary School, Iju, L A Primary School, Eleyowo, St Michael Primary School, Iju, Mega Primary School, Iju among others have benefited.
He advised parents to take their wards to government primary schools adding that they are now better than what they were.
