Apalara: Traders get another loan June

Ondo State Micro Credit Agency has assured traders in the state intending to benefit from the N550million Apalara micro credit scheme that another round of disbursement will take place in June.
The Chairman of the Agency, Chief Mrs Kolawole Kosemani disclosed this in an interview with The Hope, in Akure.
She explained that the disbursement which began on Monday was for the first quarter of the year and that the second quarter disbursement will be done in June while the third will hold in September and the last quarter disbursement will hold in December.
She also assured that the beneficiaries who were able to meet up the payment schedule will be considered for double of the amount they had accessed.
She said that all members will benefit from the current loan but advised them to group themselves so that it can be done in batches, assuring that every member will benefit as the programme continues.
Kolawole who appreciated the traders for expressing their thought urged beneficiaries to bear with the situation, saying that government has many other developmental projects to embark on.
While saying that effort will be made to inform the Governor about the situation, she said the agency will also approach other agencies for partnership, for additional fund.
The Director of Credit of the Agency, Mr Bamidele Olanbiwonnu advised the beneficiaries to embrace prudence and make record keeping their priority.
He also urged them to pay as at when due so that they can benefit double the fund they accessed saying that the money is a revolving one.
Some beneficiaries who spoke with The Hope applauded government’s gesture which they described as a welcome development.
Among those who spoke included the Chairman of Ondo State Artisan, and Traders Union (OSATU), Mr Bello Tajudeen, Chairman Tailors Association of Nigeria (TAN), Mr Olaniyi Ale, and the Personal Assistant to the President General of Ondo State Artisans Group (OSAG), Mr Oni Olaniran Emma.
