The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has applauded the exemplary and inclusive leadership style of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, describing his administration as a model of visionary governance that has repositioned the state for sustainable growth and development.
In a statement signed by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Steve Otaloro, the APC said Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration has dismantled old barriers of political exclusivity and ushered in a new era of fairness, merit, and competence-driven governance.
Since assuming office, the governor has, according to the party, demonstrated humility, focus, and a strong sense of justice in managing the affairs of the state. The governor, the APC said, has opened governance to wider participation, giving opportunities to young professionals, technocrats, academics, and experienced politicians to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
“The composition of his cabinet reflects this philosophy,” the statement read. “He has created an environment where competence and character now take precedence over political affiliations or godfatherism.”
The APC highlighted several landmark achievements of the Aiyedatiwa administration, including the dualisation of major roads such as Akure–Idanre, Akungba–Ikare, and Okitipupa–Igbokoda; the revitalisation of the healthcare sector with upgraded facilities and expanded insurance coverage; recruitment of over 2,000 qualified teachers to strengthen the education sector; and the implementation of agricultural programmes covering more than 26,000 hectares to boost food security.
The statement also cited the governor’s efforts in enhancing state security through the provision of 75 new patrol vehicles to security agencies, noting that these reforms have improved governance and made the APC the most dominant political force in Ondo State.
“As opposition members continue to defect in large numbers, collapsing their structures into the APC, it is clear that the people have great confidence in the governor’s purposeful leadership and the progressive ideals of our party,” Otaloro stated.
The party further described Aiyedatiwa’s rise to power as “a divine act” rather than a product of political ambition, emphasising that his leadership continues to reflect the truth that “power belongs to God, who appoints whom He wills.”
Reaffirming its unwavering support for the governor, the APC said Aiyedatiwa’s administration represents a new dawn in Ondo State anchored on fairness, inclusiveness, accountability, and merit-based service delivery.
“Ondo State is witnessing a rebirth under Governor Aiyedatiwa,” the party concluded. “His inclusive and transparent leadership is restoring public confidence and steering the state toward progress, prosperity, and lasting development.”
