The All Progressive Congress, (APC) party in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State has inaugurated the “Aketidatiwa 2020′ campaign committee for the re-election of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The committee includes; finance, women and youths mobilisation, among others.
Inaugurating the committee, the Director-General campaign of APC in the local government, Mr Oludare Boboye said that constituting the committee became imperative to further strengthen the campaign structure of the party.
According to him, when there is division of labour in the scheme of things, success is certain.
The DG charged the newly inaugurated committee to work hard by going from house to house, door to door ,to engage in the mobilisation for the re-election of the governor.
The Chairman of the local government, Mr Alex Oladimeji informed that putting committee in place will further strengthen the campaign of the party in the council area.
He expressed optimism that having put all machineries in motion ,the victory of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll is certain.
The LG boss averred that the APC remains the party to beat in the forthcoming election, due to the achievements of the present government.
The APC Chairman in the local government, Mr Tunde Fawoyi enjoined all party faithful to embark on grassroot mobilisations, stating that the good work of Governor Akeredolu in all sectors has made their work easier.
He charged the committee to start their work immediately and make it effective, imploring all the departments to work as a team so that the party will be victorious in the coming governorship election in the state.
During the inauguration, scores of opposition members and groups joined the APC in the local government.

The event was well attended by top government functionaries, party Chieftains and members ,including the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun, Former Speaker, Ayo Agbomuserin, Special Adviser to the governor on Transport, Mr Tobi Ogunleye, Col.Olu Apata (Rtd) ,Mr Idowu Adebusuyi ,among others.
