Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo state have been assured of adequate compensation for their diligence and hard work for the party.

Ondo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Akinwumi Sowore disclosed this at Ode-Irele while welcoming a Ghana-based entrepreneur, Princess Funmilayo Nenuwa into the party.

Sowore said the political party is a platform where any committed member can easily rise to achieve his or her goal either as founding members or decampees.

“I am a living witness to the magnanimity of the party and her leaders. I joined APC less than two years and now a cabinet commissioner. The party is a platform that one can grow especially if you work very well for people to identify your efforts.

“It is not how long you have been in the party that matters, but the efforts you have committed.”

He said information gathered about Nenuwa showed that she will be an asset to the party.

He charged her to work for the success of APC candidates in Ondo South in the forthcoming general elections.

Chairmen of APC, Irele Local Government and Ward Five in Ode-Irele, Omoge Akindele and Onibamoyo Masuyi said Nenuwa had been a good ambassador of the town in diaspora particularly in Ghana and were of the opinion that her coming to their party will add value to it.

Earlier, Princess Funmilayo Nenuwa said she joined APC to work for its success with the knowledge she has acquired through Ghana politics.

She said anyone that wants to make headway politically must be accessible, humble and bring himself or herself down to the people, adding that they must listen to them to know their individual needs.

She appreciated the leaders of the party like the Southwest Vice Chairman, Isaacs Kekemeke, Ade Adetimehin, Ondo State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan and Chairman of Irele Local Government, Mr. Olusegun Ajimotokin for giving her the platform to join the progressive party.

According to her, “some parents want their children to gain admission and needed to talk to someone to guide them in choosing good carriers for their children.

“While some parents need help for their children who have graduated from university to secure job, these are reasons why we need to listen to them, identify their individual needs and see the way to attend to them.”

Nenuwa enjoined APC leaders to go out, woo opposition to work for the success of APC candidates like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, Odimayo Jimi and Dr. Christopher Ogunlana.
