APC S/W woman leader tasks women on contribution to home front

The South West woman leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and a Lagos business tycoon, Chief (Mrs) Yetunde Babajide has called on women to be up and doing in order to contribute to the home front and not become a liability.

She made this known while on an empowerment training visit to the members of the National Committee of Buhari Support Group(NCBSG), Ondo State chapter.

Babajide who is also the Iyalaje Ojodu,said gone were the days when women were living on their husbands without contributing  anything to the  home front.

She stressed further that the idea of empowerment of giving peanuts to the women by politicians should be a thing of the past if women take advantage of these trainings that include candle making, soap making, food processing, exportation of local products etc.

She promised to facilitate a Federal Government grants to aid the women to be self reliant.

In his welcome address, the state Coordinator  of the group, Comrade Henry Bello appreciated God for the visit of the zonal women leader which he said he  facilitated to stop the continuous marginalization of the state in the empowerment training/gesture of  Babajide.

According to him” she has come to empower women and men and equally teach them how  to fish and not to give them fish and how to export”

 He advised the women in state to take advantage of the training to bid farewell to poverty.
