The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has called for peace and unity among its members in Ore ward 10 in Odigbo Local Government area.

Deputy State Chairman of the party, Hon Agabra Ikoto Atili made the call at the party Secretariat while addressing youths from the area who came to present issues affecting the party.

Atili noted that there might be provocations but said it must be shunned to allow peace and the wish of the generality to prevail. He described Ore as the bed rock of the Southern senatorial district in Ondo State.

“My advice to our committed supporters and followers is to be calm in the face of any provocation especially at this period”, he said.

He urged them to be strong and work hard for the success of the party in the coming elections, saying their matters will be looked into and presented to the appropriate quarters.

Also the Southern senatorial district chairman of the party,  Chief Oyedele advised the youths against any form of violence and advised them to be united ahead of the general elections.

He said all matters affecting members and the party will be resolved, adding that APC remains a party to beat in the southern senatorial district of Ondo State.

Earlier, Ore Ward Secretary, Comrade Sola Adegbola in a letter presented to the Secretariat stated that, “The executive and leaders of our great party in Ore Ward 10 in Odigbo held the leadership and executive meeting on March 25, 2018 and it was resolved after much deliberation that a letter should be addressed to the Secretariat on the position of who to be the next supervisor from Ore Ward 10.

“The leaders at the said meeting had unanimously voted for Mr. Waheed Ogundare as the next supervisor of.

“And in view of this, we promised that the appointment of Mr. Ogundare will enhance winning in the subsequent elections as we all know  Ore Ward 10 is how important for Odigbo local government elections.

“Therefore, we are appealing to our leaders to use their good office to ensure that the position of the party in Ore Ward 10 leaders and executives committee members stand.”
