APC urges Ondo residents to stay strong amid economic woes

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has urged its members and all residents to bear the current economic challenges with equanimity, and look ahead with confidence as they celebrate the 64th anniversary of the nation’s independence.
The party contended that a critical analysis of our shared journey reminds us of the remarkable strides that have been made, and the enduring spirit of resilience that binds Nigerians as a people.
This year’s theme, “Reflecting on the Past, Inspiring the Future,” perfectly captures the essence of this moment.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the party argued that at 64, Nigeria stands as a symbol of hope, not only for its people but for the African continent at large. The nation’s history has been one of perseverance through trials, triumphs, and transformations.
While President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assured Nigerians of his resolve to tackle economic challenges with uncommon courage, it stated that the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa-led Ondo State Government is restoring hope through strategic development policies and actions.
“The focus of the amiable governor, in less than a year, has been to address key reforms in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development.
“The APC in Ondo firmly believes that the future is bright, especially with a visionary and courageous leader like Hon. Aiyedatiwa piloting the affairs of Ondo State.
“The APC-led government is resolute in its mission to build a state where development, security, and economic prosperity are top priorities. The current hardship will soon give way to a glorious dawn.
“Informed and sincere economic observers are lending credence to the fact that Ondo State is currently implementing the right economic policies in the best interest of the people.
“The active participation of Ondo’s people is also an indication that the Sunshine State will continue to be a beacon of hope and progress for every resident,” the statement added.
On this occasion, the state chapter of the party appealed to all gladiators, irrespective of political or ethnic affiliation, to join hands with the current government in its quest to build “a state that meets the aspirations of its indigenes and stands as a force for the good of all.”
