APC Ward Exco suspends Chairman in Owo over mismanagement, abuse of office

The Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Isaipen Ward 8 in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State has suspended its Chairman, Mr. Olayode Omorayewa indefinitely.
The Executive committee members accused the embattled chairman of mismanagement and abuse of office.
According to the suspension notice addressed to the Local Government chairman of the party, Omarayewa’s suspension takes effect from Sunday, 9th April, 2023.
The suspension notice was signed by the 24 ward Excos and the three Local Government Excos from the ward.
Among those who signed were; Vice Chairman of the Party in the ward, Chief Oladehinde Oloye; Secretary, Mr. Adeseluka Olayinka; Assistant Secretary, Mr. Ogunleye Olaniran; Legal Adviser, Pastor Ale Olaniyi; Assistant Legal Adviser, Mr. Tubosun Joseph; Treasurer, Mr. Badejo Samuel; and other members of the ward Exco.
The exco members expressed loss of confidence in Omorayewa over his inability to move the party forward.
The motion for the loss of confidence was moved by the financial Secretary, Mr Joseph Oladipo and seconded by the representative of Special persons in the exco, Mr. Oke Abiodun.
The suspension notice reads:”The Executive Committee of Isaipen ward 8 in Owo, Owo Local Government met today to deliberate on some developments which are inimical to the interest and growth of our party. These developments which are capable of derailing the party from attaining its lofty objective and become the dominant party in Owo Local Government and the entire state had remained a matter of concern to all stakeholders.
“The exco at its meeting of today deliberated on its performance during the recently concluded Presidential, Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Elections. The meeting also review the estranged relationship between the Ward Chairman and other exco members, the inter-relationship between the Ward Chairman and party leaders in Isaipen and other ward Chairmen and Unit Heads.
“After extensive deliberations, it was unanimously agreed that the ward Chairman is not providing the required leadership and his attitude is creating disharmony across board within the party. His continued retention as Ward Chairman and suitability has to be reviewed in the overall interest of the party.”
Similarly, the APC leaders in the ward under the auspices of Isaipen Leaders’ Forum has endorsed the resolution of resolution of the ward exco to suspend the embattled chairman.
The leaders, after reviewing the suspension letter said they have noted that Omorayewa disruptive tendencies, intransigence, unbridled arrogance, political naivety and failure to create a harmonious relationship in the various strata in the Ward is worrisome.
“It was also observed by Leaders regrettably that Omorayewa lack of respect for constituted authorities and disdain for financial accountability is worrisome and unbecoming of a Ward Chairman.
The leaders who signed the endorsement leader include: Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Gbenga Ale; Arc Omotosho Ale; Evangelist Festus Obasooto JP; Mrs. C.A Ode; Mr. A Ogundipe; Mr. Adedipe Ijaluwoye; Mr. Olu Aruwajoye; Mr. Tolu Fadahunsi, and Mr. Olatunji Oluwafemi.
