APC youths begin house-to-house campaign

The Youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ore, Odigbo Local Government of Ondo State has begun a house-to-house campaign for their candidates ahead of 2019 elections.

Leader of the group, Abideen Abass made this known to The Hope  during the wing’s anniversary in Ore.

He said that the APC, Ore chapter had been holding meetings and house-to-house campaign to mobilise the support of the people of Ore and Nigerians for the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and all other candidates of the party in Ondo State.

The youth leader called for more youth empowerment to reduce the high level of employment and restiveness in the country.

Abass,  said that if Nigerian leaders empower the youths adequately, the country’s problems would be solved, stressing that unemployment is a major issue in the country.

He urged the political class to see politics as a service to humanity, adding that their major agenda in 2019 should focus more on impacting lives positively.

“Ore ward is the largest in Odigbo local government with 30 polling units. We are committed, focused, strong, united and ready for the elections. We are very sure of our impact in any election.

“The campaign is to cement our strength in the units. I want to call on our leaders in Ore Ward and South Senatorial District of the state to support our moves to achieve our aims.

“The leaders should empower us more personally, I have not benefited but the interest of the party is key. They should engage the youth because we are the future of Nigeria”.

Chairman, Ore Ward, Comrade Busayo Tibete commended the youth for the initiative saying Nigerian political system needs youths with charisma.

He urged them to remain loyal to the party and work hard for the success of APC in Ore while shunning all kinds of political violence before, during and after the elections.

Also speaking, Mr. Waheed Ogundare,who said youths are vital in any political system, urged leaders across board to always engage and empower youths for development.

“As youth, it is good to be involved in politics but it is advisable to have a primary source of income before joining politics. It is all our responsibilities to contribute our quotas to the development of our state and nation.

“We will continue to support the party and work for its success in this election. Youths are very important to any serious government”.
