The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has described the zoning template for the position of principal officers of the 10th National Assembly by the party as appropriate.
The State Director, Media and Publicity of the party, Mr. Steve Otaloro, said this in an interview with The Hope yesterday,
He explained that the leadership of the party led by its National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is very proactive to have deemed it fit with all stakeholders to zone appropriately the position of principal officers of the 10th senate without any geopolitical zone left out.
Recall that the APC NWC had early this week indicated that the Senate President would come from the South South and specifically, Senator Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom).
Others are Deputy Senate President – North West-Senator Barau Jubrin (Kano).
Speaker, House of Representatives North West- Abass Tajudeen (Kaduna).
Deputy Speaker South East- Ben Kalu (Abia).
Otaloro added that the President-elect and the Vice President-elect came from South-West and North-East respectively.
He noted ” l believe all the leadership of the National Assembly will adhere strictly by it, especially members of our party.
” With the zoning , it means the party will be able to have adequate and robust relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government that will bring accurate development to the people and the Nigeria.”
