By Josephine Oguntoyinbo

Residents of Araromi Omoladan, in the Ijare axis of Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State, have showered encomiums on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for extending the state’s free medical outreach to their community.

The initiative, which targets the elderly and vulnerable groups, is being implemented by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. It had earlier been held in Igbara-Oke and Ilara-Mokin, both within the same council area.

The latest leg of the programme witnessed a large turnout of beneficiaries who expressed deep appreciation to the governor for prioritising their health and well-being.

Speaking on the development, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, noting that the outreach aligns with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision to ensure no segment of the population is left behind.

“This programme is a clear demonstration of the governor’s resolve to improve the lives of our people, especially the elderly and vulnerable. We are taking this intervention to every part of the state,” Dr. Osamaye said.

The outreach featured free medical consultations, blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, distribution of essential drugs, and other basic health services.

Community leaders and beneficiaries alike praised the initiative, describing it as a lifeline for many who cannot afford regular medical care. They also called for the sustainability of the programme beyond the current administration.
